Willelma “Emma” Morales Aldana

Willelma “Emma” Morales Aldana, 87, of Euclid, OH, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 1, 2020. She the daughter of the late Alejandro Olarte Aldana, MD and the late Josefa (Morales) Aldana, and was born in January 10, 1933, in Pozurrubio, Pangasinan, Philippines,

Emma graduated from High School in Pozurrubio, Pangasinan Province, Philippines. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Centro Escolar University, Manila, Philippines. Afterwards, she taught at St. Philomena’s Academy in Pozzorubio, Pangasinan Province, Philippines. After emigrating to the United States, she studied at the Case Western Reserve University School of Library Science in Cleveland, OH and the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Paris, France. Emma worked for the Cuyahoga County Public Library System for many years and owned a catering business where she was renowned for her cakes.

Emma was proceeded by her parents, her lifelong companion, Flaviana Cristobal Bangloy, and her siblings, Hiltrudez Aldana Rodriguez, Alejandro Aldana, Jr. MD, and Perla Aldana Rosauro.

Survivors include siblings Oscar Aldana, Marcial Aldana, MD, and Violeta Aldana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Emma enjoyed cooking, gardening, attending to her koi pond, and safeguarding her secret cake recipe.

Visitation will be Friday, November 13 from 5 to 7 P.M., at Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home located at 33375 Bainbridge Rd, Solon, OH 44139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, November 14 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church of Saint Rita located at 32820 Baldwin Rd, Solon, OH 44139 with the Reverend Edward J. Janoch presiding. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery located at 480 West Highland Rd, Northfield, OH 44067.

The family wishes to thank the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Saint Marc and the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Saint Joseph Rehabilitation Center for their kind and attentive care of Emma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mount St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center located at 21800 Chardon Road, Euclid, OH 44117.
