THOMAS L. STEINBAUER, of Ossineke, MI, formerly of Clyde, OH. January 6, 1934 – April 4, 2018. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Stevens) for 55 years; dear father of Cynthia (Troy) Leibengood, of Clyde, Thomas S., of Solon, Timothy (Rebecca), of Vermilion, Kathleen (the late Richard) Taylor, of Westfield Center, Molly (Laura) Steinbauer-Mack, of Pretoria, South Africa, Nicholas, of Solon, and the late Joseph; loving grandfather of 14; brother of Coletta Miller, James, and the late Robert, Carl, Jack, and Richard; cherished uncle of many. Family will visit with friends at Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main Street, Clyde, FROM 2-8 PM SUNDAY April 8. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 11AM at St. Mary’s Church, 609 Vine St., Clyde (please meet at church). Born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Coletta (nee Toeppe) and Robert E. Steinbauer. Graduated from Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in 1953, where he confidently schooled all of his children. Tom was an Army Veteran during the Korean War, based in the DMZ; he married Mary Ann Stevens on April 20, 1963. Co-Owner of R.E. Steinbauer & Sons Farm, and after retirement worked at the Island Rocket in Sandusky, and Green Hills Golf Course, Clyde. Parishioner, former Member of Parish Council and School Board of St. Mary’s. Knights of Columbus, Third Degree. He was also loved and cared for by the staff at The Country House Assisted Living in Ossineke.
