Sebastian Gray Botirius

Our sweet angel Sebastian Gray Botirius passed away at the age of 4, on Monday, April 18th 2022. He was a shining light for his family and the world. Sebastian was a special, smart, lovable little boy who, in his short life, made the world a better place. He brought smiles everywhere he went and touched many lives. Sebastian was deeply loved by those around him. Though his life was brief, Sebastian’s memory lives on in his family. Sebastian spent most of his short life battling a rare genetic disorder, and he was a fighter to the very end.
Sebastian is survived by his parents, Kip Botirius and Kelly Baylog, his beloved big brother, Jackson Botirius, maternal grandmother, Jennifer Goulden, paternal grandmother, Linda Botirius, maternal great-grandparents Marcine Brooks, Dennis and Barbara Goulden, and Constance and Lloyd Knapp, and the most amazing extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins: Chad and Kerri Botirius (Olivia), Garrett and Kristin Botirius (Callan), Jason Baylog (Julia, Jacob), Tim and Elizabeth Baylog (Natalia, Isabelle, Emma, Liam, Brayden), Rebecca and Mason Bunting (Mason), and Alexis Leasure (Hayley, Ravenna).
In lieu of flowers, Sebastian’s family is asking for donations to his memorial fund, Sebastian’s Spreading Smiles Fund, to continue his legacy. This fund will build and dedicate a playground in honor of Sebastian and all the children around the world who struggle with rare diseases. Every dollar donated to Sebastian’s Spreading Smiles Fund will be used to build the playground: (https://gofund.me/1668eaf6). There will be a Celebration of Life for Sebastian at Barrington Golf Club at 350 N Aurora Road, Aurora, Ohio, on Saturday, April 30th from 11am to 3pm for friends and family (children are very welcome). Guests are asked to wear Sebastian’s favorite color, green, and celebrate the life of this exceptional little boy who made a lasting impact on the world in just four too-short years.
