Ryan W. Lees
RYAN W. LEES, 29, formerly of Solon, died May 12, 2015 due to injuries sustained in an unfortunate motorcycle accident. Ryan was born on September 10, 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio to David and Terri (Games) Lees. He attended Solon schools and graduated from Gerson High School in 2004. In 2006 Ryan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was part of 1st Combat Engineer Battalion out of Camp Pendleton, California where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. He served two deployments under Iraqi Freedom and Iraqi Endurance. Ryan had recently returned home after spending three of the last four years in Afghanistan as a private contractor for Lockheed Martin. Preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lois Lees. Ryan is survived by his wife, Lynne Albers Lees and parents, Dave and Terri Lees. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Mardelle Games of Mantua, Bill and Carol Games of North Little Rock, Arkansas and his paternal grandfather, Bob Lees of Lakewood. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Though he was an only child many loved him like a brother. Ryan will always be remembered for his infectious energy and love of life. He lived without regrets and at full speed without fear of obstacles or boundaries. He is now at peace and no longer bound by anything. A Memorial Service and Celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 at Parkside Church, (7100 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023) with Rev. Fritz Games officiating. He will be buried with Full Military Honors at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Wounded Warriors Project.
