Rose and Laurence Chang
CHANG, KNO-SUI LAURENCE (LARRY), age 93, after a long battle with CHF was promoted to his heavenly home on Oct. 16th, 2015 at the Weil’s in Bainbridge, OH. Larry was survived by his beloved wife, Rose Kao Chang and his son, David F. Chang, IL., his sister, Hao Zhang and her husband Qian Bao Kun and his niece, Betty Qian in Shanghai, China and his niece, Patty Cheung and her husband, Bob Miller, in Fla. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Yinhu Zhang and his mother, Ruyi Liang. Larry was a Professor of Economics at Case Western Reserve University from 1957 until he retired. Larry served on the Western Reserve Presbyterian Board on many committees and served on the Presbyterian Synod of the Covenant which sent medical missions to serve Migrant Farmers and their families in Ohio and Michigan. Larry also served at Solon Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church in many ways until he went to assisted living at the Weil’s in Bainbridge. OH. CHANG, ROSE KAO, age 92, after a long battle with CHF was promoted to her heavenly home on March 19th, 2016 at the Weil’s Robinson Memory Care in Bainbridge, OH. Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Kno-sui Laurence Chang, her father, Dr. Ching Long Kao MD who was buried at Sea near Shanghai, China; her mother, Helen Ya Yeun Kao, who is buried in LA, CA. and her sisters, Dr. Mary Kao Chin, NJ., Dr. Lillian Kao Luh, her brothers; Dr. Erik Kao and Richard Kao. Rose is survived by her son David F. Chang, IL. Her sisters Florence Kao Shen, IN., Evelina Kao Loke, IL., Miranda Kao Linne, AZ., and Judy Kao Ng, Toronto, Canada. Rose worked in the cardio Research Dept. at the Cleveland Clinic for more than 32 years, Rose was recognized for volunteering many hours at the Cleveland Clinic in addition to working there.
