Robert T. Jackson

Robert Thomas Jackson, 88, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022. Bob is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 38 years, Diane (Doherty); his children Kathlyn Smith, Julie (Jon) Herman, Sharon Jackson, and Jeffrey Jackson. Bob loved children and enjoyed being a grandfather to Brian (Brooke) Smith, Erin (Sean) Sandona, James Skimin, Elizabeth (Roger) Paz, Jessica (Ryan) McCarty, Jason Herman, Jacob (Khrysta) Herman, Reid (Amanda) Wendell, Robert (Selina) Wendell, Stacy (Danielle) Sawyer and 13 great-grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Skimin; brother, John Jackson; sisters, Dorothy Papp, Lucille Burrell, and Marilyn Russell; and former wife Ruth (Skedel) Jackson. Bob grew up in Newbury, Ohio, was a life-long Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan, an avid golfer, and member of St. Bernard Golf Club for many years. “Captain Bob” and Diane enjoyed their summers boating on Lake Erie with family and friends. A true entrepreneur, Bob built a number of businesses during his design career in the metals machinery industries. A private family Celebration of Life will be held to honor this beautiful man.
