Robert Reschke

Robert A. “Bob” Reschke, age 76, of South Russell, OH, passed away January 27, 2015.  Loving husband of Cynthia A. (nee Speach). Dear father of Bob Reschke Jr. of Alexandria, VA, Elisa M. Keating of Auburn, NY, Linda M. (Silvestro) Calabrese of Holliston, MA, and Kathleen M. (Larry) Snyder of Canton, MI; grandfather of eight; brother of Charles F. Reschke of Fayetteville, NY and Maureen (Thomas) Grooms of Syracuse, NY; Uncle of several nieces and nephews; Son in law of Anthony J. Speach of Syracuse, NY.

Bob was born November 26, 1938 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Charles J. and Mildred Hogan Reschke. He attended Assumption Catholic Academy and Syracuse University Empire State College in Syracuse, NY.

He joined First Trust and Deposit Company Syracuse in 1956, and had a 45 year career in Banking, eventually retiring from Key Bank Cleveland in 2002.

Bob was a very active member at St Joan of Arc Church in Chagrin Falls.

He served on the Western Reserve Council on Aging, and Geauga Department on Aging, delivering meals and preparing tax returns for the elderly.

Bob joined Rotary in 1984. He became a Paul Harris Fellow in 1988 for his work on Polio Plus with the Buffalo Rotary Club. He was awarded a second Paul Harris Fellow in 2007 for his contributions to the Chagrin Valley Rotary Club and Rotary District 6630. He served as President of Chagrin Valley Rotary 2005-2006. In 2008 he was selected as District 6630 Rotarian of the year. He was Assistant Rotary Governor, Geauga Cluster 2008-2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday February 2, 2015 at St Joan of Arc Church 496 East Washington Street Chagrin Falls. The family will receive friends 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Church. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.
