After several months as a Seaman in the North Atlantic, he attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. He graduated from Babson College in 1950 with a degree in accounting. He spent his entire career as a manufacturer’s representative in the industrial electric industry, first in the Boston area and later in the Pittsburgh and Cleveland areas.
He was an active member of St. Rita Parish for many years, serving as an usher. He enjoyed all sports and had a passion for golf well into his eighties. Throughout his long life, Bob approached everything he undertook with optimism and perseverance.
