Paul Budnick

PAUL E. BUDNICK, age 84 of Solon. May 28, 1931 – March 5, 2016. Beloved and amazing husband of Joan (nee Szemplak); loving and kind father to their seven children: Debby, Lynn, Karen, Kathie (Marty) Forman, Mark (Debbie), Philip (Rob) and Alyson (Timothy) Welsh; cherished grandfather of Lindsey, Amelia, Kristin, Alec, Lauren, Alyse, Ava, Ella, and Calvin; great grandfather of Cooper and Abraham; dear son of the late Edna and Edward. U.S. Army First Lieutenant Korean War Veteran. Graduate of Cathedral Latin and John Carroll University. Paul was a successful business owner of F/B Inc. for over 45 years. He was Parent’s Club President at Lumen Cordium HS and served as Solon HS PTA Athletic Association President. He spent many years coaching athletic teams, and was instrumental in many winning softball, volleyball, baseball, wrestling, and swim teams. An avid fisherman, he spent many hours on the water and also loved playing cards. Paul was a gentle and kind man who will be truly missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday March 9, 10AM at St. Rita Church, 32820 Baldwin Rd., Solon. Family will visit with friends at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON FROM 6-9 PM TUESDAY.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to ACCESS Homeless Shelter for Mothers and Children at www.access-shelter.org
