Nancy C. Ewing

Nancy C Ewing (nee Clayton), 90, of Solon, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 1st at home. The family will receive friends and family at Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral home at 33375 Bainbridge Road in Solon on Tuesday, November 9th from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Private Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery (Twinsburg) at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 10th. A Memorial Service will take place at 1:30 PM at Solon United Methodist Church, 5540 SOM Center Rd, Solon, Ohio 44139. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the church.

Nancy was born March 12, 1931 in Hubbard, Ohio to Tom and Gertrude Clayton. She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1949, and Bowling Green State University in 1953. She married Robert Charles Ewing following their graduation from BGSU, on Aug 8, 1953. She then began a 30+ year career in teaching in Solon. Nancy was an avid golfer and walker, and loved doing volunteer work, including Meals on Wheels, and Playhouse Square in Cleveland. She and Robert were also actively involved in Friends of the Solon Public Library. Additionally, they both enjoyed travelling with friends and family.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Sue (Bryan) Duhamel, son Charles (Beth) Ewing, granddaughters Nicole (Jonathan) Moore, and Erika (Trinity) Rourke, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband Robert, and Sister Barbara Schrock.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
