Mary Jo Nowak

Mary Jo Nowak, 68, of Northeast Ohio, passed away July 1, 2021, in her home after a long battle with cancer. She lived her life with love, an incredible sense of humor, and a deep sense of care for everyone she met. Born in Chicago in 1953, Mary Jo was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. After graduating from the University of Illinois, she moved to Los Angeles where she cemented herself as a true Hollywood level video producer. She loved her family, had impeccable mastery over the kitchen, and loved gardening. After moving to Ohio to be closer to family, she worked as a nursing aide in which she brought reassurance and care to hundreds of families over 5 years.
Devoted wife of William Lowden; encouraging mother of Patrick Lowden; cherished grandmother of Taylor, Madelyn, and Emma Stiffy; Mia and Maci Lowden; loving sister of Margaret, Jim, Joseph, Virginia (dec.), Diane, John, and Anthony Jr. (dec.); aunt of dozens of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Joanne and Anthony Nowak; brother, Anthony Jr. and sister, Virginia.
Celebration-of-life service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a private gathering at Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Solon, Ohio, 44139. 440-248-6088
