Marilyn Buksar

Marilyn “Lewis” Buksar (nee Schoedel), died peacefully at home on June 7, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born to the late Fred and Loretta Schoedel. She dearly loved her late Grandma Rose Burmester. She was married to the late John Lewis for 6 years and then the late George Buksar for nearly 40 years. She is survived by her two daughters Cindy Hall and Lori Buksar. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 12 Noon at Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Rd., Solon, where family will visit with friends from 10AM until time of service. Marilyn graduated from Toledo University. She was a member of Zonta International. She was well known in the arts community and so accomplished in antiques she had her own business “Lewis Galleries” for several years. She was a master gardener and won awards for her beautifully crafted landscapes. She was a tremendous financial planner and loved investing. Marilyn was a fabulous gourmet cook and loved to entertain. She later worked as a team with husband George in the industrial steel mill business not ever really retiring. She was a great listener and a true friend to many. Marilyn will be missed and loved by all those who knew her. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Marilyn’s memory to Genacross Lutheran Services of Toledo, 2021 N. McCord Rd., Toledo, OH 43615, or a charity of choice.
