Margaret M. Pollack

MARGARET MARTHA POLLACK, of Solon. November 21, 1928 – June 9, 2023. Beloved wife of the late William Patrick; dear mother of Nancy Kapsandy (Kathleen Tucker), William (Marcia) Pollack, and Scott (Heather) Pollack; loving grandmother of Vincent Ryan, Sean, Hannah, Rachel, Isabelle, Will, and Katelyn; cherished great grandmother of Arabella, Kensley, Liam, and Ainsley; sister of the late Dolores Aynik.
On Friday afternoon, June 9th, 2023, the good Lord called Margaret Pollack (Marge or Midge to friends, Grammy, Gigi or Grandma to the family and kids) to his heavenly kingdom. Whatever you called her, Marge was the most simple of people yet incredible in so many ways. Dedicated to her family, she was the ultimate homemaker and caregiver to her husband, children, grandchildren and four great grandkids. Marge’s exquisite ethnic Slovak/Hungarian cooking and baking skills nourished our bellies and satisfied countless friends and family over the decades. She had an incredible zest for life and she loved to be with family yet was equally content in the peaceful solitude of a good book while sitting in her “parlour”. She loved to dance and she and husband Bill would be known to “cut the rug” on more than a few occasions. Marge was quick and generous to a fault with a compliment on your fashion choices or a new haircut. She was equally proud to “peacock” and get dressed up for whatever the occasion and she would never be caught being under dressed for any occasion. Her love for her family, dark chocolate, dogs and extra marinara on the side was insatiable. After her husband Bill’s passing, she continued onto a three-decade life after marriage that was an incredible testament to her courage. While she remained steadfast in her faith, she reinvented herself in many ways and we could be more proud of her. Simply stated the world was a better place with Marge Pollack in it and we are all thankful and grateful to have been blessed with having her in our lives.
Family will visit with friends at Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Rd., Solon from 4-8 PM Wednesday June 14. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:30AM at St. Rita Church, 32820 Baldwin Rd., Solon. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cleveland Clinic Hospice.
