Gloria L. Oster

GLORIA L. OSTER (nee Douglass), of Aurora. October 12, 1929 – May 27, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Edward H.; loving mother of Douglass (Cindy) of Pittsburgh, Robert (Lanie) of Columbus, and the late Richard; cherished grandmother of Timothy, Matthew (Jill), Stephanie, Andrew, and Daniel; great grandmother. Graveside services Tuesday June 1, 1:30PM at Aurora Cemetery, North Aurora Rd., Aurora.

Gloria was raised in Lisbon, Ohio when he parents Leland and Janet (nee McCaa) moved there from Cleveland during the depression, graduating from Lisbon High School in 1947. She came back to Cleveland and graduated from Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She worked in surgery for ten years, then Bedford Hospital Emergency Room the majority of her career, and then retired from Oak Park Nursing Home in 1991. She married Edward Herman Oster on July 20, 1957 and they raised 3 sons together. Edward died on October 9, 2005.
