Eleanor J. Yonish

Eleanor J. Yonish 01/20/1937-4/23/2021. Age 84 of Solon, Ohio died peacefully with her family by her side after a 2 year battle with ALS with the support of CrossRoads Hospice. She was born January 20, 1937 in Leckrone, PA. to Paul & Margaret Kaiser. Born and raised in Leckrone, Attended German Township High School and graduated in 1954. She is proceeded in death by her parents Paul & Margaret Kaiser, and her Brother Paul (Sonny) Kaiser, and her loving husband Joseph. She leaves behind her loving children Jackie Robertson (of Solon) and Joseph (of Streetsboro), and 5 grandchildren Jennifer, Joseph, Kevin, Christopher and Sarah, and many Nieces, Nephews and dear friends.
Eleanor was an avid lover of gardening (flowers and vegetables), decorating for all the holidays and spending time spoiling her grandchildren. She loved starting her day with morning mass at St. Rita’s Parish where she was a member for 46+ years and then volunteering at the Solon Senior Center making sunshine calls. She was a nursery school Aid and worked at Revere Products.
She loved traveling with family and friends, especially traveling to Myrtle Beach where she would spend hours walking the beach collecting shells and reading her favorite gossip magazines.
The family will receive friends At Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Tuesday April 27th from 3pm-8pm for viewing and Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am Wednesday, April 28 at The Church of the Resurrection, 32001 Cannon Road, Solon. Eleanor will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Solon. Masks will be required and we ask that you
