EDWARD A. FRENCH, January 27, 1931 – February 19, 2017. Ed French, long-time resident of Solon died as a result of a tragic automobile accident. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Kalonick); loving father of Michele (Anthony) Tricarichi, Douglas (Tammy) French, Lisa (Brian) Hooper, Jeffrey (Kerra) French, and Leslie (Charles) Nicolais; cherished Poppy of Anthony (Jenna), Katie (Josh), Nicholas (Meaghan), Tana (John), Adam, Kayla, Jacob, William, Ryan, Aaron, Noah, Marissa, Serafina, Michael, and Max; dear great-grandfather of AJ, Evelyn, Miles, and Cameron; son of the late Mary (nee Brayer) and Fred French; brother of the late Genevieve French.

Ed was a Master plasterer by trade and drywall artist by which he left his mark throughout the city. A devout Catholic, Ed was awarded three Bronze Service Stars during his service in the Korean War. He had a passion for travel, a love for playing cards with family and friends, and was a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus #4893. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday February 25, 10:30AM at St. Rita Church, 32820 Baldwin Rd., Solon. Interment Knollwood Cemetery. Family will visit with friends at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON FROM 3-8PM FRIDAY.
