Dr. Roland L. Madison

Roland Leslie Madison was born in Fayette County, West Virginia on February 23, 1946 to the late Claude and Leslie Edra Madison (Barr). He passed away at Regency Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio on Monday, August 22, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Shelia Madison. He leaves behind his daughters Kimberly Ann McAndrews (m. Michael McAndrews) and Amy Harwood-McCartney (m. Anthony Harwood, m. Justin McCartney) as well as his grandchildren; Christopher McAndrews, Caleb McCartney, Abigail Harwood, Taylor McAndrews, and Brandon McAndrews. Roland earned his baccalaureate degree from West Virginia Tech, a master’s degree from Kent State University, and his doctorate from the University of Nebraska. He was an educator for 40 years and enjoyed a 27 year career as Professor of Accountancy at John Carroll University. Throughout his career he published over 170 articles regarding accounting, ethics, and education. Roland was a loving husband, father, grandfather, educator and friend who will be dearly missed. Family will visit with friends at Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Rd., Solon, OH from 4-6 PM Saturday August 27, followed by a dinner hosted by Alesci’s. Interment Chiefland, FL.
