Dorothy F. Cooper
DOROTHY F. COOPER, of Aurora, Ohio, passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born in Ellwood City, PA to the late Stella Karpinski and Michael Borison. Loving wife of the late David L. Cooper for 58 years; mother of David K. Cooper and the late Debra Ann Knuth; grandmother of Tyler Cooper and the late Erin Knuth; and sister to Richard Borison of Ellwood City, PA. After graduating from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, Dorothy and David were married and moved to Cleveland in the 1950’s where they settled in Garfield Heights for 16 years. She was very active with the Roosevelt Elementary PTA. She loved volunteering and fundraising for March of Dimes and YMCA programs as well. In the early 70’s they built a home in Aurora and loved becoming part of the community. She enjoyed entertaining and travelling with family and friends. A trip to Australia was as much fun as camping in the wilderness. She enjoyed working at SeaWorld in admissions. Her sense of humor was infectious as she could be the life of the party. A special thank you goes out to the staff at The Atrium and Kensington at Anna Maria in Aurora for their loving care. Memorial services Saturday, November 6, 12PM at Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Rd., Solon, where family will visit with friends following the service. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hattie Larlham Foundation.
