Dennis Daniel Oleksa, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 24, 2021. He died suddenly one week after undergoing knee replacement surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. His death was NOT Covid related.
Dennis was born June 25, 1947, in Johnstown, PA. He grew up in Cleveland, and lived in Mantua, Solon and Aurora. For the past 28 years he owned a farm in North Central Ohio where he lived with his one and only wife.
Dennis loved his country and proudly served in the Air Force as a Vietnam Veteran. He was a loving, kind, patient and positive man who made many close and long-lasting relationships with family and friends. He did not know an enemy because he could win over anyone with his friendly personality.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Bonnie (nee Ciora), sisters, Debbra Wendl (husband Stuart), Jo-Ann Maust, and brother John, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence (nee Safko). He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and his beloved Irish Wolfhounds.
Family will visit with friends at Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Rd, Solon FROM 3-7PM THURSDAY DECEMBER 2. Entombment Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland at 3PM Friday.
