Eugene H. McConnell

EUGENE H. McCONNELL, of Solon, February 9, 1948 - April 11, 2012. Marine Corps Veteran, Vietnam War. Beloved husband of Shelley (nee Coughlin); loving father of Devin Eugene, Ryan James, Meghan Kathleen (Jeffrey) Walter, and Sean Michael McConnell; cherished grandfather of Mia Kathleen; dear brother of Jewell May Warnex, Donna Jenkins, the late Violet, and Ted (Marlyn) McConnell, brother-in-law to Sharon (Cliff) Wiener;   adoring uncle of Robert (Doris), Corri (James), Michael (Jackie), Michelle, Karen, Krista, and Deborah; fond great uncle and friend of many. Services Monday April 16, 11AM at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON, where family will visit with friends FROM 2-4 AND 6-8 PM SUNDAY.


 

Kohei Ishikawa

KOHEI ISHIKAWA, of Twin Lakes. April 29, 1934 - April 8, 2012. Member of the American Institute of Architecture and the Rotary Club of Cleveland.   Beloved husband of the late Adele; dear father of Shohei Ishikawa and Alissa (Ron) Klotz; loving grandfather of Cassie and Carson; brother of Yoko Yoshinaga, Sumiko Nomura, and Ken Ishikawa. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. In 1957 he graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and the same year traveled to the United States to attend Miami University where he met his future wife Adele, and received his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1959.  In 1960 he received his Master of City Design degree at Miami and accepted a position with an architecture firm in New York City. Employment with an architecture firm prompted a move to Cleveland Heights, Ohio in 1968.  Kohei established his own architecture firm while in Cleveland.  After many years working as a building official for the City of Cleveland Heights, Kohei accepted a position in Portage County, where he lived since 1999. A memorial Service honoring his life will be held Monday April 16, 7PM at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON, where family will visit with friends THREE HOURS PRIOR TO SERVICES. William Michael Holmes

WILLIAM MICHAEL HOLMES, of Twinsburg, August 19, 1922 - April 4, 2012. Army Veteran WWII, Central Burma Theater. Beloved husband of Jean R. (nee Dunham); dear father of Kerry (Donald) De Haven, of Virginia; loving grandfather of Desiree' De Haven; son of the late Melania (nee Havris) and Michael Humeniuk; brother of the late Marie Turri, Olga Meck, and Walter Humeniuk; brother-in-law of Dwight L. (Evelyn) Dunham; cherished uncle of Alan (Claudia) Turri, Gary (Theresa) Turri, William (Liz) Meck, Nancy Dunham Hertz (Phil), David, and James Dunham. Funeral Services Thursday April 12, 11AM at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 6295 Chagrin River Rd. (at Solon Rd). Family will visit with friends Wednesday Evening, April 11, 5-8PM at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Cleveland Clinic Department of Medical Resources and Medical Art, Cleveland Museum of Art, or Johns Hopkins School of Medical Art.


   

LLOYD W. DULL III

LLOYD W. DULL III, of Akron. July 26, 1953 – April 5, 2012. Beloved son of Lloyd W. Dull II and the late Marjorie S. (nee Simons); loving brother of Barbara Jean Dull. Lloyd was born in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of a career Army family.  He shared his father’s love of travel and was happiest during his family’s numerous adventures and sampling new cuisines wherever they went.  The absence of his Norwegian humor is already felt and we miss him so much. Lloyd was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity while attending the University of Akron.
A memorial gathering will take place from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Kindrich McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Solon, Ohio 44139. In lieu of flowers memorials may be may be made to Pawsibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron since Lloyd was a dog lover.

Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Kozak); loving father of Ronald and Donald (Maryann) Retych; loving grandfather of Crystal, Katie Stover, Donald Jr., Justin, and Ronald Jr.; cherished great grandfather of Alexandra and Jack; uncle and great uncle to many.
