Louis Machovec

LOUIS MACHOVEC, 100, of Solon. September 29, 1911-October 12, 2011. Beloved husband of 39 years to the late Margaret (nee Karwan); dearest father of Mary Lou (William) Bart and Margaret Ann (William) Feran; loving grandfather of Wendy (Scott) Erholm, Heather Bart-Ferris (Michael), Casey and Lindsay Feran; cherished great grandfather of Catherine and Nicholas Erholm and Margaret, Bridget, and John Machovec Ferris; devoted brother of the recently deceased James Mack. Veteran of 39 years of service, retired as Sergeant to The Cleveland Police Department and the last survivor of the first Police Academy Class, first badge and pinning ceremony by Eliot Ness. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday October 18, 10AM at Our Lady of Lourdes, East 55th and Hamm Ave., Cleveland. Interment Lakeview Cemetery. Victor O. Savoca

VICTOR SAVOCA, of Solon. March 13, 1918-October 11, 2011. Beloved husband of Peggy; dear father of Jim (Marty) and Susan Rae Pawlak; loving grandfather of Jack and Michelle Savoca, Ted Pawlak, David (Janna) Pawlak, and Nicole (Frank) Thorp; cherished great grandfather of Autumn Rae; father-in-law of Walter “Mike” Pawlak. Andrew J. Randorf

ANDREW J. RANDORF, of Solon. April 18, 1927 – October 5, 2011. Navy Veteran WWII. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Ann (nee Deyak); loving father of William (Lori); cherished grandfather of Brad and Kathryn; brother of the late Willard and James. Memorial Services Friday October 14, 2PM at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE RD., SOLON, where family will visit with friends ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICES AND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING SERVICES ON FRIDAY. Memorials may be made to Cleveland Clinic Hospice.

Andrew was born in Cleveland, Ohio but grew up in Bristol Center and Valley Stream, NY as well as Detroit, MI.  He volunteered to serve in the Navy at the age of 17 and served in the Pacific.  Met his wife, Elizabeth, in Cleveland and they married May 19, 1954. He was a devoted father and husband who enjoyed traveling and golfing with his family.  He was an amateur photographer and took countless photos of friends and family.  He served as Vice President of Randustrial Corporation in Cleveland until his retirement in 1986.

   

Noreen Helen Custer

NOREEN HELEN CUSTER.  December 22, 1923-October 2, 2011.  Beloved wife of the late Charles; dear mother of William (Lori),  Carol (James) Carpurso, Richard, John (Rhonda), Margaret (Michael) Svasta, Regina (David) Palshook, Nancy (David) Husak, Dennis (Nancy), and the late James Custer;  cherished grandmother of 52 and great-grandmother of 48.  Mass of Christian Burial Friday October 7, 11 AM at St. Rita Church, 32820 Baldwin Road, Solon.  Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.  Family will visit with friends at STEINBAUER FUNERAL HOME, 33375 BAINBRIDGE ROAD, SOLON FROM 2-8 PM THURDAY.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Susan G . Komen Fund or CareCorp Hospice.

ETHEL WICK, age 100, July 26, 1911-September 29, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Edwin; dear mother of the late Linda Hensley; Ethel was one of seven children born to Marjorie (nee Scott) and Charles Leathers in Mattawamkeag, Maine; aunt of Clyde (Margaret) Scheuer, of Roanoke, VA. Memorial Services Wednesday, October 5, 11:30AM at Anna Maria of Aurora, 889 N. Aurora Rd., Aurora. Interment Whitehaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
