Cheryl was born and raised in Amherst and graduated from Marion L. Steele High School. She was a Customer Service Supervisor for K & M International, and retired in 2008. She married Charles on April 15, 1989. She enjoyed cooking and travelling, walking in the Metroparks, the Solon Senior Center and Recreation Center.

Drago was born in Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1967 and the United States in 1975. He was a farmer by trade, but could accomplish anything. He was a bricklayer, stone mason, built homes, was an electrician and worked on his own automobile.
